This is a 20-week travel nursing assignment with rotating 12-hour shifts. Weekly estimated pay is $2,250-$2,370 based on the assignment details provided. Candidates should be comfortable working a flexible day/night rotation and participating in holiday coverage as needed.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty
• At least 18 months of recent Cardiac Stepdown or Stepdown RN experience
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or progressive care experience preferred
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience completing ECG rhythm recognition testing and medication safety assessments is preferred
• Must be willing to work every other holiday
• One manager, ANM, supervisor, or director reference in the specialty from the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and thoracic surgery patients
• Monitor patient status, interpret ECG rhythms, and respond to changes in condition promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient recovery and discharge planning
• Float to similar units as needed to support the same patient population
• Participate in required orientation testing and training modules
• Maintain strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care throughout the assignment
