- Shift Hours: Day shift 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM; Night shift 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
- Charting System: Epic
- Float Requirement: Required to float as needed to care for patients under 12 months of age, including pediatric units
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of total NICU III/IV nursing experience
- At least 1 full year of Level IV NICU experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- AHA BLS certification required
- AHA NRP certification required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience caring for post-op neonates, g-tubes, trach/vent patients, and invasive/noninvasive ventilation preferred
- Ability to work rotating day and night 12-hour shifts, including weekend coverage
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and family-centered care skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill neonates from admission through discharge
- Monitor and manage high-acuity medical and surgical NICU patients
- Support infants requiring advanced respiratory therapies and ventilation management
- Administer medications, complete assessments, and maintain accurate documentation in Epic
- Care for infants recovering from surgery and those with g-tubes, trachs, and other specialized needs
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary neonatal care team
- Provide compassionate family education and support during critical moments
- Float to other pediatric units as needed to support patient care needs
