Job Details

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680-$1,770
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Start Date: 9/9/2026
• Location: Olney, Maryland 20832
• Healthcare Setting: 39-bed emergency department with an average daily census of about 90
• Patient Population: Adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
• Experience with both adult and pediatric emergency patients required
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• Active Cerner experience required
• Ability to successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum score of 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Strong clinical skills in triage, IV insertion, emergency medications, blood product administration, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department
• Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform triage, assessment, and ongoing monitoring in a busy emergency room environment
• Administer medications, start and maintain IVs, and support urgent interventions
• Assist with procedural sedation, ventilated patient care, and central line management
• Support rapid evaluation and treatment of acute medical and trauma-related conditions
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and unit support staff
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Cerner
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented emergency department focused on excellent patient outcomes
