Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU or neonatal nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- CLS certification preferred
- Experience attending high-risk, vaginal, and cesarean deliveries
- Comfort caring for infants 32 weeks and greater
- Experience with CPAP/BiPAP, feeding tubes, syringe pumps, and ventilator management preferred
- Ability to float as needed
- Strong neonatal dosage calculation skills
- Experience with oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tube placement and management preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, family-centered nursing care to infants in a Level II NICU environment
- Attend vaginal, cesarean, and high-risk deliveries as needed
- Support newborns admitted for NICU-level monitoring and care
- Manage respiratory support, including CPAP and BiPAP
- Administer feeds, manage feeding tubes, and monitor syringe pump therapies
- Perform neonatal assessments and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with the care team to support optimal outcomes for infants and families
- Provide floating support when assigned and remain adaptable to unit needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols
