• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910-$2,010
• Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Step-Down / Telemetry
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 8/10/2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Shifts per Week: 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Location: Portsmouth, NH — a scenic Seacoast city known for its historic downtown, walkable neighborhoods, and welcoming New England feel
• Unit Highlights: 15-bed PCU with central monitoring, modern equipment, and mobility team support

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent PCU, step-down, telemetry, or progressive care nursing experience
• Strong telemetry monitoring skills and ability to recognize changes in cardiac rhythm
• Experience titrating vasoactive medications such as levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, and dobutamine
• Experience with chest tube management
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Ability to work nights and participate in a rotating floating schedule as needed
• Comfortable with bedside handoff, patient engagement, and collaborative clinical care

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU patients with cardiovascular and vascular surgery needs
• Monitor telemetry trends and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Titrate vasoactive drips per protocol and provider orders
• Assist with chest tube management, removal of chest tubes and arterial lines, and temporary pacing
• Support pre-operative preparation for cardiovascular surgery patients
• Document care in Meditech Expanse and maintain accurate bedside shift reports
• Collaborate with the care team to promote safe, efficient, patient-centered care
• Support patient experience initiatives, including updated bedside boards each shift
