Job Requirements

• Active Texas RN license required; temporary license is not accepted
• Minimum 2.5 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and either PALS or ENPC required
• Strong time management, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Meditech experience preferred
• Ability to adapt to floating requirements as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency nursing care in a busy ED
• Perform ESI triage and help maintain rapid patient flow
• Assist with splinting, STEMI response, and stroke protocols
• Support procedures such as chest tube assistance, central lines, and lumbar punctures
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other clinical team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Promote a positive patient experience through clear communication and teamwork
• Float as needed in accordance with unit policy
