- Setting: Progressive Care Unit / Surgical Step-Down / Telemetry
- Location: Columbus, OH 43210
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Schedule: Weekend coverage may be required; floating to other areas may be needed based on unit needs
- Start Date: 09/08/2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
- Active compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS required
- Must be able to pass a telemetry test
- Experience monitoring telemetry patients preferred and highly valued
- Experience with IV starts, medication administration, lab monitoring, and patient education
- Strong general nursing skills in a step-down, PCU, or telemetry setting
- Epic experience required
- ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing education required
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality progressive care nursing for adults and geriatrics in a fast-paced travel nursing environment
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and promptly recognize changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and support safe, effective treatment plans
- Perform patient assessments, document clinical findings, and communicate updates to the care team
- Support post-surgical and medical overflow patients with a strong focus on recovery and stabilization
- Assist with blood product administration, oxygen therapy, heparin protocols, and dysrhythmia management as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote excellent patient outcomes
- Deliver education and reassurance to patients and families throughout the care experience
