Job Details

• Setting: Mixed-acuity medicine, surgery, and trauma unit
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Schedule: Day and night rotations available; approximately 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 8, 2026
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Patient Ratio: 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Float Requirement: Required within the organization as needed
• Additional Notes: First-time travelers accepted; locals accepted at the same rate

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience
• Progressive care, stepdown, or PCU experience preferred
• Active Ohio nursing license required at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS required
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Comfortable with rotating shifts and floating to other units as needed
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program required
• Two professional references required, including at least one manager, director, or supervisor reference

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients with chronic and acute medical conditions in a PCU setting
• Monitor and manage dysrhythmias and support patients requiring telemetry and stepdown-level care
• Administer oxygen therapy, nasal cannula support, and peripheral line care and management
• Use SBAR communication to collaborate effectively with providers and the care team
• Respond appropriately to rapid response and code situations when needed
• Follow isolation precautions and infection prevention practices
• Work collaboratively with respiratory services, IV teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, and other support departments
• Document accurately in Epic and support efficient medication management workflows
