• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 3x12 schedule (07:00 - 19:30)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,720 - $1,820
• Setting: Inpatient postpartum unit with family-centered care
• Float Requirement: May float to similar-acuity units as needed
• Weekend Coverage: Required

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of postpartum nursing experience
• Current RN license in hand at the time of submission
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• IV start skills required
• Labor & Delivery experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Telemetry interpretation required; EKG exam must be passed prior to start
• Experience in postpartum, couplet care, and newborn care preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to postpartum patients and healthy newborns
• Support vaginal and cesarean delivery recovery care
• Perform newborn assessments and postpartum assessments, including fundus, lochia, and perineal care
• Educate parents on feeding, newborn care, discharge instructions, and circumcision care
• Administer medications and therapies as ordered, including IV antibiotics and postpartum medications
• Monitor mother-baby dyads and identify changes in maternal or newborn condition
• Assist with breastfeeding support and use of breast pumps
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, family-centered care
• Maintain accurate charting and uphold unit standards for quality care
