• Floating: May be required to float within the organization as needed
• Holiday Coverage: Rotating holidays

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing or progressive care unit experience required
• Active Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• EPIC experience required
• Strong neuro and stroke care experience preferred
• Experience with blood product administration, dysrhythmia interpretation, and heparin protocols
• Ability to work rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Must be comfortable with compliance and credentialing timelines
• 2 professional references required
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited RN program preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to adult PCU patients with stroke and neurological conditions
• Monitor and manage patients with CVA, intracranial bleeds, craniotomy, and post-TPA care needs
• Administer TNK and support care for lumbar drains and other neuro-related interventions
• Assess and respond to changes in patient condition in a fast-paced stepdown environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Support safe, evidence-based nursing care while maintaining strong documentation in EPIC
• Float to other units within the organization when needed
• Maintain a patient-centered approach while caring for med-surg and neurological patients
