Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
• Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Oregon City, Oregon
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Orientation: 72 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Every other or every third weekend
• Charting System: Epic experience required
• Setting: Level II maternity unit with Level I nursery

Job Requirements

• 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience preferred; first-time travelers may be considered
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required or eligible for submission pending licensure, if allowed
• Current BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN Advanced certifications preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong knowledge of patient ratios and maternal-child nursing workflows
• Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekend coverage
• Comfortable floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities based on need
• Reliable transportation required for this travel nurse assignment
• Excellent communication skills and a flexible, team-oriented attitude

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Support 1:1 care for active labor patients and 1:3 care for postpartum couples
• Monitor fetal and maternal status, responding quickly to changes in condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean recovery, triage, and high-risk obstetric care as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, resuscitation nurses, and the broader care team to ensure quality outcomes
• Float to other units or nearby facilities according to skill set and patient care needs
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain thorough, timely charting
• Deliver patient education and discharge teaching that supports families after delivery
• Follow unit standards, safety protocols, and AWHONN staffing practices
