Job Details

• Position: CVOR Registered Nurse
• Location: Columbus, OH
• Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing Job
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,500 - $2,630
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirement: 1 weekend per month, plus 2-3 weeknights per week
• Orientation: 30 hours
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Setting: Cardiovascular operating room with complex congenital heart surgery cases

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of CVOR experience required
• At least 1 completed travel assignment required
• Experience with adult or pediatric CVOR accepted
• Active RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Strong working knowledge of cardiovascular OR workflows and sterile technique
• Ability to provide 2 professional references at submission, including at least one manager or supervisor
• Must be prepared for floating as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled circulating support in the CVOR for complex cardiac and congenital heart procedures
• Assist with procedures such as valve repair/replacement, ASD/VSD repair, Norwood, Fontan, and related cardiac surgeries
• Support anesthesia during induction and maintain safe, efficient OR workflow
• Follow surgical safety practices including universal protocol, specimen handling, and sterile processing principles
• Monitor equipment and assist with advanced procedures and specialized cardiac supplies
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative team members to ensure excellent patient care
• Respond to call shifts as scheduled and remain flexible for unit needs
• Contribute to a high-performing surgical team focused on quality, safety, and patient outcomes
