• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, every other weekend, block scheduling option
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: August 31, 2026
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Unit Setting: L&D unit with mother-baby/newborn care and an operating room within the unit
• Additional Notes: Weekend coverage required; holidays and floating as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with no license hits accepted
• BLS and ACLS required
• Epic charting experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience in a community hospital setting required
• Ability to care for neonatal and adult patient populations
• Strong clinical skills in obstetric, postpartum, and newborn care
• Comfortable working nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional floating
• Ability to provide care in a tobacco- and fragrance-free environment

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
• Monitor fetal status and perform assessments using external fetal monitoring equipment
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and recovery care as needed
• Support triage, admissions, and ongoing obstetric patient assessments
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies, fluids, and blood products per protocol
• Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care appropriately
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
• Follow unit standards, safety protocols, and infection prevention practices
