Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
• Experience in Mother/Baby, Postpartum, Labor & Delivery, or similar women’s health and maternal care settings
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, EFM, and ACLS or ALS-OB
• Strong fetal monitoring, maternal assessment, and newborn assessment skills
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Comfortable providing postpartum care and supporting new mothers and infants
• Excellent communication, adaptability, stamina, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality postpartum and Mother/Baby nursing care
• Monitor mothers and newborns, including fetal and maternal assessment
• Support patients through labor recovery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care education
• Recognize and respond to urgent changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, efficient care
• Maintain accurate documentation in EHR systems
• Assist with patient flow and adapt to fluctuating unit needs
• Float to postpartum as needed
