Job Requirements
- 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submittal
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Ability to care for adult patients with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Strong clinical skills in telemetry, stroke care, and neurological assessment
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult medical-surgical and neurological patients
- Monitor patients using telemetry and pulse oximetry for changes in condition
- Care for patients with stroke, TIA, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological diagnoses
- Perform ongoing assessments, administer treatments, and coordinate individualized care plans
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support recovery and positive patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately in Epic while maintaining safe and efficient workflow during night shifts
- Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate concerns appropriately
