Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050-$2,160
• Location: Portland, OR area
• Setting: Emergency Department, short-term acute care hospital
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Schedule: Variable mid and night coverage; every other weekend required
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Charting System: Epic
• Start Date: 08/31/2026

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Previous triage experience required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Ability to care for a broad patient population, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Comfort working variable evening and night shifts
• Must be able to meet scheduling expectations, including every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy Emergency Department environment
• Perform triage and prioritize care based on patient acuity and clinical need
• Monitor, assess, and respond to patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions
• Administer treatments, medications, and IV therapies as ordered
• Collaborate closely with providers and interdisciplinary team members to support timely, effective care
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic electronic health records
• Maintain safe, professional, and compassionate patient care standards at all times
• Adapt to changing patient needs and support unit flow during high-volume shifts
