• Contract Length: 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3x12 schedule
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule Style: Block scheduling available; every other weekend required
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640-$1,730
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 to 1:7
• Charting System: Epic preferred

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Alabama RN license or compact RN license in good standing at time of submission
• At least 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry or related acute care nursing experience required
• Previous travel nurse experience required; highly experienced candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• BLS certification required
• NIH certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Experience with cardiac drips required, including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
• Experience working in large healthcare facilities required
• Must live at least 90 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Permanent address must be included with submission

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical and cardiac telemetry patients
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips with accuracy, safety, and clinical judgment
• Deliver compassionate, efficient care while managing a patient ratio of 1:6 to 1:7
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established unit protocols
• Support a smooth orientation and remain adaptable in a busy acute care setting
