Join a high-acuity Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse travel team in Columbus, Ohio, supporting a busy Level 4 L&D unit with approximately 450 deliveries per month. Travel RN Job Details
- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Columbus, OH 43210
- Start Date: 09/08/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050 - $2,160
- Unit: Level 4 Labor & Delivery
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Float: May be required to float to other units as needed
Labor & Delivery RN Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- AWHONN Advanced or NCC C-EFM acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with IV starts and Labor & Delivery procedures required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume obstetrical setting
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Flu vaccine required; medical exemptions only
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring, postpartum, antepartum, and high-risk patients
- Monitor fetal and maternal status, including recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and recovery after C-sections
- Perform triage, assessments, and ongoing patient education throughout the perinatal continuum
- Administer medications and therapies such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate per protocol
- Support procedures including IV management, epidural support, cord sample collection, and fetal monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care
- Float to related areas within the organization when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow all unit and compliance standards
