• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Night shift with rotating weekends

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
• Active Wisconsin RN license
• Education verification required
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Either TNCC or TNS certification
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills in a high-acuity emergency care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to Emergency Department patients with varying levels of acuity
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, triage support, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
• Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and Wisconsin practice guidelines
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record and department standards
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Escalate concerns appropriately to support patient safety, quality outcomes, and efficient patient flow
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and unit-based practice standards within the emergency department
