- Location: Hilo, Hawaii 96720 - scenic coastal community on the Big Island with access to Hawaii's outdoor beauty
- Start Date: 9/14/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night shift; 12-hour rotating shifts
- Hours: 36 hours per week after the first full week of orientation
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,860-$1,960
- Schedule Notes: Various shift lengths and days may be required; flexibility is essential
- Orientation: Department-specific orientation provided
Job Requirements
- Active Hawaii RN license required by start date
- At least 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Strong adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced adult medical-surgical and acute care setting
- Ability to float to other nursing units when needed
- Professional nursing attire and excellent teamwork skills
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and unit protocols
- Support patients with wound care, chest tubes, and other common Med/Surg interventions as needed
- Accurately document care in the electronic medical record
- Assist with unit workflows and collaborate to maintain smooth patient care delivery
- Float to other assigned units when required
