Travel PCU Registered Nurse Job in Hilo, Hawaii | Cardiac Progressive Care Unit RN

• Start Date: 8/24/2026
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 - $1,960
• Schedule: Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation; no guarantee of hours
• Call: No call required
• Floating: May float to other acute care units, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER
• Charting/Equipment: Meditech, Pyxis, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring

Job Requirements

• Active Hawaii RN license required by the start of the assignment
• At least 1 year of recent hospital acute care experience within the last year
• Progressive care RN and telemetry experience preferred
• ACLS preferred
• PALS preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment and adapt to floating as needed
• Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete employee health requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care for progressive care, cardiac step-down, and telemetry patients
• Monitor telemetry and interpret telemetry strips
• Perform fingerstick blood sugar checks and support routine bedside care
• Deliver safe, compassionate patient care in a cardiac progressive care unit
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient stability and timely interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic charting systems
• Adapt to floating assignments across supported acute care units as needed
