Med/Surg Registered Nurse – Travel RN Job in Sylva, North Carolina

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Strong med/surg clinical competencies in acute care settings
• Comfort working with a patient ratio of approximately 1:6
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR); Paragon experience is a plus
• Ability to adapt to a rotating schedule and float as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions, complete assessments, and communicate changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments according to clinical standards and provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support patient recovery
• Maintain accurate and timely charting in the EHR system
• Support patient education and discharge planning as appropriate
• Respond effectively to changes in patient status and prioritize care in a fast-paced acute care environment
