Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty
• Minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience; travel nursing experience may count toward this requirement
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications in hand
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation with an acceptable score
• One manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director reference from the specialty within the last 12 months
• Willingness to work at least every other holiday
• Ability to meet pre-start compliance and onboarding requirements on time

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate patient care to adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and promptly recognize changes in patient condition
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with policy and best practice standards
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and fellow nurses to support excellent patient outcomes
• Document nursing care accurately and maintain strong communication throughout the shift
• Adapt to rotating day and night shifts while supporting unit needs
• Provide high-quality care to patients who may require floating within the same patient population
