• Position: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN)
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Location: Danville, Virginia
• Start Date: September 1, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Unit Size: 24 beds
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend or as needed
• Float Requirement: As needed
• Charting System: Meditech

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Virginia
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• NIH certification required
• Ability to complete facility-specific orientation and onboarding requirements
• Professional demeanor and strong teamwork skills
• Preferred: 2+ years of Medical-Surgical RN experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and timely nursing care to medical-surgical patients of all ages
• Assess patient conditions, monitor changes, and communicate effectively with the care team
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record using Meditech
• Support individualized care plans and promote positive patient outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain professionalism while adapting to a dynamic, fast-paced Med/Surg unit environment
