- Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
- Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
- Schedule: Days, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; every other weekend and rotating holidays
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,500–$2,630
- Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- At least 1 year of recent nursing experience or IV therapy experience required
- Previous intravenous therapy experience required
- Current IV experience required
- Must be proficient in peripheral line placement for children and newborns within 6 months
- Experience with PICC insertion and ultrasound-guided PIVs preferred
- Must be proficient in PICC placement within 1 year
- CRNI certification within 2.5 years
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Successful completion of pharmacology exam required
- BSN preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses closely
- Provide venipuncture and vascular access care, including midlines and PICC lines
- Maintain accurate and current patient records and clinical documentation
- Communicate assessment findings and plan-of-care updates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Support patient care delivery as a charge nurse when needed
- Serve as a resource for patient care, orientation, and staff education
- Participate in quality improvement, safety practices, and blood/body fluid precautions
- Attend required staff meetings and ongoing professional development activities
- Promote service excellence, confidentiality, and a positive patient experience
- Perform additional duties as assigned
