- Shift Schedule: Night shift, 3x12s (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Float Requirement: Yes, to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or pending license accepted prior to start
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- Strong ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio in an acute care setting
- Comfortable floating to other Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
- Epic experience preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
- Must complete pre-start onboarding requirements and required modules
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients with a focus on safety, comfort, and positive outcomes
- Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and coordinate timely interventions
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and provider orders
- Perform and assist with common Med/Surg nursing skills such as IV management, wound care, telemetry monitoring, drains, central line care, and oxygen therapy
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary partners
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in Epic
- Support smooth unit flow by adapting to float assignments as needed
- Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment
