  • Float Requirement: Yes, to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed
  • Patient Ratio: 1:6
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or pending license accepted prior to start
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • Strong ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio in an acute care setting
  • Comfortable floating to other Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
  • Epic experience preferred
  • Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
  • Must complete pre-start onboarding requirements and required modules

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients with a focus on safety, comfort, and positive outcomes
  • Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and coordinate timely interventions
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and provider orders
  • Perform and assist with common Med/Surg nursing skills such as IV management, wound care, telemetry monitoring, drains, central line care, and oxygen therapy
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary partners
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in Epic
  • Support smooth unit flow by adapting to float assignments as needed
  • Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment
