Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of NICU nursing experience
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a valid compact license
  • Current BLS, NRP, and CLS certifications
  • Experience caring for infants 32 weeks gestation and greater
  • Ability to support high-risk deliveries and attend vaginal and cesarean births
  • Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, feeding tubes, syringe pumps, and ventilator management preferred
  • Strong neonatal dosage calculation skills and safe medication administration practices
  • Ability to float as needed within applicable clinical areas

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled neonatal nursing care for infants in a Level II NICU and special care nursery
  • Assist with attendance at routine and high-risk deliveries
  • Monitor and support newborns requiring respiratory support, feeding assistance, and close clinical observation
  • Manage care for infants using CPAP/BiPAP, feeding tubes, and syringe pumps
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
  • Perform thorough assessments, documentation, and ongoing patient monitoring
  • Support family-centered care while maintaining a calm, reassuring presence
  • Adapt to float assignments as needed based on unit needs and competencies
