Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a valid compact license
- Current BLS, NRP, and CLS certifications
- Experience caring for infants 32 weeks gestation and greater
- Ability to support high-risk deliveries and attend vaginal and cesarean births
- Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, feeding tubes, syringe pumps, and ventilator management preferred
- Strong neonatal dosage calculation skills and safe medication administration practices
- Ability to float as needed within applicable clinical areas
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled neonatal nursing care for infants in a Level II NICU and special care nursery
- Assist with attendance at routine and high-risk deliveries
- Monitor and support newborns requiring respiratory support, feeding assistance, and close clinical observation
- Manage care for infants using CPAP/BiPAP, feeding tubes, and syringe pumps
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
- Perform thorough assessments, documentation, and ongoing patient monitoring
- Support family-centered care while maintaining a calm, reassuring presence
- Adapt to float assignments as needed based on unit needs and competencies
