• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,770 - $1,870
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Charting System: Cerner PowerChart
• Floating: May float to like units or to care for similar patient populations as needed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent stepdown, progressive care, telemetry, or ICU nursing experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Cerner PowerChart experience required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced intermediate care environment
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to adult and geriatric stepdown patients
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage patients with complex medical and surgical needs
• Support patients recovering from CHF, sepsis, pneumonia, stroke, DKA, and post-surgical conditions
• Perform ongoing assessments, medication administration, and care coordination
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner PowerChart
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a dynamic stepdown nursing setting
