- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Charting System: Epic
- Float Requirement: May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliated facilities based on skill set
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience in stepdown, IMCU, progressive care, or a similar higher-acuity nursing setting
- Experience caring for complex cardiac and respiratory patients
- Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator patients preferred
- Experience with critical care drips and titrated infusions preferred
- Active Oregon RN license or eligibility to obtain prior to start
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Strong Epic charting experience required
- Must be comfortable floating to related units as needed
- Must have reliable transportation for the assignment
- Must be able to provide 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of recent experience
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to intermediate care and cardiac stepdown patients
- Monitor and manage complex cardiac and respiratory conditions
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips and insulin drips per protocol
- Care for patients with tracheostomies and ventilator support
- Interpret dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
- Maintain safe, organized, and compassionate patient care across varied acuity levels
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support positive patient outcomes
- Float to other units or nearby facilities as needed based on patient care needs
