Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligible
- Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Certification preferred
- Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills; dysrhythmia exam required
- Experience in acute care, stepdown, progressive care, or intermediate care strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity, team-based healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with cardiac, surgical, and respiratory conditions
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards
- Manage titratable drips as assigned, including Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate safe, effective care
- Perform primary assessments and support IV push medication administration
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with patients and team members
- Support patient education and promote positive outcomes throughout the care process
