Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligible
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification preferred
• Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills; dysrhythmia exam required
• Experience in acute care, stepdown, progressive care, or intermediate care strongly preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity, team-based healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with cardiac, surgical, and respiratory conditions
• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards
• Manage titratable drips as assigned, including Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate safe, effective care
• Perform primary assessments and support IV push medication administration
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with patients and team members
• Support patient education and promote positive outcomes throughout the care process
