- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 07/13/2026
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, typically 6:30 AM-3:00 PM; may vary between 6:00 AM-2:30 PM and 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,120-$2,230
- Call Requirement: None
- Patient Population: Adults and older teens
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of perioperative, PACU, or surgical services nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong IV insertion skills and ability to prepare patients for surgery
- Ability to complete Phase 2 recovery care in an outpatient surgery setting
- Dysrhythmia exam required
- Experience with pre-op, post-op, and outpatient surgical workflows preferred
- Endoscopy and PACU experience is a plus
- Ability to work safely in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based PACU nursing care throughout the perioperative process
- Perform thorough patient assessments before, during, and after procedures
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies
- Prepare patients for surgery, including IV insertion and preoperative readiness
- Deliver Phase 2 recovery care and support discharge readiness
- Monitor patients for clinical changes and respond appropriately to recovery needs
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members
- Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment for surgical patients
- Float to Endoscopy or PACU as needed and within scope of practice
- Document care accurately and support positive patient outcomes
