• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and every other holiday may be required

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact eligibility
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Recent Labor & Delivery, OB, ED, or critical care experience preferred
• BLS certification preferred upon hire and required prior to direct patient care
• NRP preferred at hire and required within 3 months of hire
• Ability to complete a required EKG exam
• Experience with electronic fetal monitoring preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt in a high-acuity, fast-paced maternal-newborn environment

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based Labor & Delivery nursing care to women, newborns, and families
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Monitor labor progress, fetal status, and maternal well-being using fetal monitoring and clinical judgment
• Assist with triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency management as needed
• Support circulating and recovering C-sections and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team
• Float between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby as assigned
• Educate patients and families on self-care, newborn care, breastfeeding, discharge planning, and follow-up needs
• Promote a safe, respectful, and family-centered care environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established nursing standards and protocols
