• Shift: Afternoons/Evenings; 3 x 12-hour shifts
• Shift Duration: 12-hour evenings
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Unit Highlights: 40-bed ED with hallway and fast-track capacity; high-acuity trauma, behavioral health, and emergency care exposure

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility
• At least 1 year of RN experience required
• Recent Emergency Department or Critical Care experience preferred
• 2 years of Emergency Room experience preferred
• BLS required prior to direct patient care
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire
• TNCC preferred
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, prioritization, critical thinking, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and hospital policies
• Care for patients with medical, trauma, pediatric, gerontologic, behavioral health, and life-threatening conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, EMS, transfer centers, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Serve as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement efforts
• Support trauma care, stabilization, resuscitation, triage, and crisis intervention as needed
• Maintain calm, adaptability, and professionalism during high-stress situations
• Follow infection control practices and use appropriate PPE
• Document care accurately and support safe, efficient patient flow throughout the department
