• Hours per Week: 36
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910-$2,010
• Setting: Emergency Department / Level I Trauma Center
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; scheduling is not every other day

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
• At least 1 year of RN experience required
• Preferred: 2 years of Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience
• Preferred: recent Critical Care or acute care experience
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred at hire and required within 6 months of hire
• TNCC preferred
• Preferred: EPIC electronic health record experience
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Ability to work effectively in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a busy Emergency Department serving patients of all ages
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, analyze patient data, and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and hospital policies
• Prioritize care for patients with medical, trauma, pediatric, psychiatric, and life-threatening conditions
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, EMS, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Support patient safety, quality improvement, and effective coordination of emergency care
• Respond calmly and efficiently in high-volume, high-acuity situations
• Assist with trauma care, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional nursing standards
• Contribute to a positive, compassionate patient experience in a demanding acute care setting
