• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and major holidays

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience caring for postpartum and newborn patients strongly preferred
• BLS required
• NRP required
• ACLS preferred
• EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to provide compassionate, family-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Must reside outside the local radius for consideration

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive postpartum and newborn care for mother-baby couplets
• Perform maternal and newborn assessments, monitoring, and ongoing evaluations
• Support breastfeeding education, self-care teaching, discharge planning, and follow-up preparation
• Care for high-acuity postpartum patients, including those with chronic pregnancy-related conditions or substance use disorder
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, high-quality outcomes
• Assist with newborn stabilization, resuscitation support, and patient/family education as needed
• Float within the Women’s Life Department when appropriate, including limited support for NICU feeder/grower care
• Maintain accurate documentation and deliver care in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols
• Promote a calm, supportive environment for patients and families during the postpartum recovery period
