Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130

• Typical Shift Pattern: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, with every other weekend and major holidays required

• Setting: Cardio-pulmonary progressive care unit with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatric patients with cardiac and progressive care needs

Job Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of assignment or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse (RN) experience required
• Experience in acute care, telemetry, cardiac stepdown, or progressive care settings preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification
• Ability to read and verify rhythm strips
• Proficiency with lab draws and peripheral IV starts
• Experience managing and titrating cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Nitroglycerin, and Amiodarone
• Experience with BiPAP and insulin drips required
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor patients on continuous cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications safely and manage cardiac and insulin infusions according to clinical protocols
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Support patients and families through education, advocacy, and compassionate communication
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold high standards for patient safety and quality care
• Use sound clinical judgment to care for progressive care patients with complex needs
• Float within skill set as needed to support appropriate patient care assignments
