- Start Date: 08/10/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Schedule: Mid-shift coverage options including 10A-10P, 11A-11P, and 1P-1A; every 3rd weekend required
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
- Call: No on-call at this time
Job Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice or compact eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required; 3+ years preferred
- Prior Emergency Department or Critical Care nursing experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not being considered
- ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire
- BLS required prior to direct patient care
- NIHSS required
- Completion of dysrhythmia exam required
- CPI, CEN, and TNCC preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, prioritization, and clinical assessment skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct emergency nursing care to patients with urgent and emergent needs
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and hospital policies
- Monitor patient status, respond quickly to changes, and escalate care when needed
- Support patients and families with compassionate, relationship-based care during stressful situations
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and the interprofessional care team to promote positive outcomes
- Care for adult and pediatric patients across a broad range of conditions, including trauma, medical illness, and critical care presentations
- Use emergency equipment and clinical technology effectively in a busy, high-intensity ER environment
- Promote safety, quality improvement, and efficient patient flow throughout the Emergency Department
- Maintain professionalism while working in a setting with fluctuating workloads and high patient volume
