Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility
• At least 1 year of RN experience required
• Acute care hospital experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months of hire
• BSN preferred
• EPIC EHR experience preferred
• Preferred certifications: CCRN, PCCN, NIH Stroke Certification
• Strong telemetry, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg telemetry unit
• Complete comprehensive assessments, develop nursing plans of care, and evaluate patient progress
• Administer medications and manage therapies in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies
• Monitor telemetry patients and recognize changes in clinical status promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, LPNs, techs, and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care
• Support patients with orthopedic, bariatric, and medical-surgical needs
• Manage IVs, ports, PICC lines, heparin drips, oxygen support up to 6L nasal cannula, and intermittent BiPAP
• Provide patient and family education, promote safety, and maintain accurate documentation
• Contribute to a team-focused unit environment that values efficiency, accountability, and compassionate care
