- Position: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,500 - $2,630
- Start Date: August 17, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days, 4 x 10-hour shifts
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Call: Participation required for weekends, nights, and holidays
- Response Expectation: Must be able to respond to STEMI callbacks within 30 minutes
- Location: Maryville, IL, near St. Louis and the Metro East healthcare market
Job Requirements
- Current RN license in Illinois or compact licensure eligibility
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in telemetry, critical care, cardiac cath lab, emergency room, or operating room settings
- BLS required; ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months of hire
- BSN preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced procedural and emergency response environment
- EPIC experience preferred
- Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols
- Serve as a scrub nurse and circulator in the cardiac cath lab
- Coordinate patient care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team throughout the hospital
- Respond to STEMI calls and urgent or emergent procedural needs quickly and effectively
- Assist with hemodynamic monitoring and advanced cardiovascular procedures
- Support care involving intra-aortic balloon pumps, chest tubes, Impella, TAVR, and temporary pacing
- Administer conscious sedation as appropriate and within scope of practice
- Educate patients and families while supporting a safe, compassionate care experience
- Maintain infection control, patient safety, and quality standards in all aspects of care
