• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shift Schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and major holidays required
• Additional Notes: May be required to float within the New Life Center or to other NICU units

Job Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility
• Minimum of 3 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• Recent NICU, pediatric, OB, ED, medical-surgical, or critical care experience preferred
• BLS required or ability to obtain from an approved source prior to direct patient care
• PALS preferred at hire and may be required within 6 months based on department needs
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to care for neonates with a variety of acuity levels
• EPIC EHR experience preferred
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Must be comfortable working nights, weekends, holidays, and potential call coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to neonates in a Level III NICU
• Complete thorough assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Monitor, stabilize, and support newborns requiring intensive nursing intervention
• Administer medications and therapies in accordance with nursing standards and patient safety practices
• Support patients receiving bubble CPAP, ventilator care, umbilical lines, PIVs, arterial sticks, heel sticks, and peripheral blood draws
• Participate in neonatal resuscitation and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
• Educate and support families with clear communication and compassionate guidance
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit policies, procedures, and infection control standards
• Promote a safe, high-quality care environment for neonates, families, and team members
