• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Schedule: Afternoons/Nights with flexible start times at 11:00 AM or 1:00 PM, every other weekend, every other holiday, and two days of call per 13-week contract
• Unit Size: 12-bed Emergency Department
• Patient Volume: Approximately 70–80 patients per day

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Ohio or compact state eligibility
• At least 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of travel RN experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS required
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam
• Strong clinical judgment in fast-paced, high-acuity emergency care settings
• Experience with EPIC preferred
• Comfort caring for neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults
• Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Emergency Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients with urgent and emergent needs
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and policies
• Support triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and crisis intervention as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to coordinate timely, effective treatment
• Advocate for patient safety and participate in quality improvement efforts
• Respond calmly and effectively in high-stress situations
• Provide compassionate care to patients and families across the lifespan
• Maintain accurate documentation and use clinical technology efficiently
