Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Assignment Length: 6 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Location: Live Oak, TX 78233 — a convenient and growing area just northeast of San Antonio, with easy access to shopping, dining, and major roadways

Job Requirements

• Active Texas RN license required; temporary license will not be accepted
• 2+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Meditech experience preferred
• Ability to float as needed per facility policy
• Experience in a high-acuity ED or fast-paced emergency care setting is highly valued

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to emergency patients across a variety of acuity levels
• Perform assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring for patients with urgent and emergent conditions
• Assist with and respond to emergency procedures, including conscious sedation, intubations, and stroke interventions
• Support care for behavioral health watch, sepsis, chest pain, and other time-sensitive cases
• Administer treatment in accordance with emergency nursing protocols and physician orders
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record and maintain safe, timely patient flow
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain professionalism while adapting to floating expectations and changing department needs
