• Position: Travel Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry
• Employment Type: Travel Contract Nursing Job
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Length: 16 weeks
• Start Date: 8/17/2026
• Location: Petersburg, VA 23805
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020-$2,130
• Schedule Expectations: Every other weekend and major holiday coverage required

Job Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification required
• Ability to pass an EKG exam at orientation
• EPIC experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients in an acute care setting
• Complete patient assessments, develop plans of care, and evaluate outcomes
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with best practices and facility standards
• Collaborate closely with physicians, monitor technicians, CNAs, and the multidisciplinary care team
• Care for general surgery, trauma, and post-operative patients
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and compassionate care at all times
