Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience preferred
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license, or ability to obtain prior to start
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a fast-paced ER nursing environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Comfortable caring for a diverse patient population in a community-focused setting
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions in the Emergency Department
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to protocols and provider orders
- Stabilize patients and assist with emergency procedures as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members
- Document care accurately and maintain a high standard of patient safety
- Support a compassionate and efficient care experience for patients and families
