Job Overview

This night shift travel RN position is ideal for a seasoned Labor & Delivery nurse with strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly in a structured hospital environment. You’ll support labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care while working alongside a supportive care team.

• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 26 weeks

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
• Float Expectation: May float to Post-Partum or NICU based on skill set

Job Requirements

• 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Current certifications required: BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• ACLS preferred
• Must be comfortable with high-acuity obstetrical care in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Must be willing to work nights and participate in required holiday coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns as assigned
• Assist with triage, assessment, monitoring, and ongoing management of obstetrical patients
• Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk deliveries
• Perform and assist with circulating, scrubbing, pre-op, post-op, and recovery duties as needed
• Administer blood products, IV medications, and obstetrical drips such as insulin, magnesium sulfate, and anticoagulation therapies
• Manage epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, drains, and wound care needs
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary women’s health team to support low-risk antepartum, transition nursery, and couplet care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Deliver patient education and support families throughout the labor and birth experience
