• Patient Population: Adolescents, infants, and adults
• Float Expectations: Post-Partum and NICU based on skill set

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission; compact license accepted
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• ACLS preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced obstetrical unit with high-risk and low-risk patients
• Must be comfortable with floating as needed based on skill set

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to laboring patients and newborns
• Support patients experiencing labor, preterm labor, and other obstetrical needs
• Assist with all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
• Circulate for C-sections and support pre-op, post-op, scrub, and OB-GYN workflows
• Perform assessments, monitoring, and interventions for antepartum and Labor & Delivery patients
• Administer and manage blood products, magnesium sulfate, insulin, heparin, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and syringe pumps as indicated
• Provide triage support, patient education, and ongoing labor management
• Use strong clinical judgment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a busy obstetrical setting
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow unit protocols and patient safety standards
