- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Shift Schedule: Variable day and night shifts with rotating coverage; no guaranteed shift preference
- Call Requirement: Scheduled 12-hour call at least once per month
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,750 - $1,840
- Unit Focus: Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of labor and delivery nursing experience
- Active Hawaii RN license required by start date; candidates without an active license must apply upon acceptance
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- STABLE and Advanced Fetal Monitoring recommended
- Experience with computerized charting systems and fetal monitoring equipment preferred
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts and participate in scheduled call coverage
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, high-quality care to laboring mothers throughout the delivery process
- Assist with deliveries and support immediate newborn care in the nursery and postpartum unit
- Deliver compassionate postpartum care for both mother and baby
- Monitor patients using electronic documentation and fetal monitoring systems
- Collaborate with physicians, OB/GYN providers, and the care team to promote safe patient outcomes
- Respond to changing unit needs while maintaining a calm, compassionate approach to maternal newborn nursing care
