• Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Location: Odessa, Texas
• Start Date: September 8, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 4x12-hour night shifts; 36 or 48 hours per week considered
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
• Charting System: Cerner preferred
• Float Requirement: May float to Med/Surg or Telemetry as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Travel nursing experience required
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC or TCAR required
• Stroke education and EKG course completion preferred; support may be available if needed
• Experience with Cerner preferred
• Ability to care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Comfort working in a high-acuity critical care environment with changing patient needs

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients with complex and acute conditions
• Monitor and manage ventilated patients, cardiac drips, and vasoactive infusions
• Perform arterial line management, central line care, and IV therapy support
• Support stroke care, neuro monitoring, and emergency interventions when needed
• Assist with chest tube care, blood product administration, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Interpret dysrhythmias, ABGs, and vital trends to guide patient care
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compassionate care environment while adapting to float needs
