- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 4x12-hour night shifts; 36 or 48 hours per week considered
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
- Charting System: Cerner preferred
- Float Requirement: May float to Med/Surg or Telemetry as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Travel nursing experience required
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC or TCAR required
- Stroke education and EKG course completion preferred; support may be available if needed
- Experience with Cerner preferred
- Ability to care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Comfort working in a high-acuity critical care environment with changing patient needs
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients with complex and acute conditions
- Monitor and manage ventilated patients, cardiac drips, and vasoactive infusions
- Perform arterial line management, central line care, and IV therapy support
- Support stroke care, neuro monitoring, and emergency interventions when needed
- Assist with chest tube care, blood product administration, and procedural sedation monitoring
- Interpret dysrhythmias, ABGs, and vital trends to guide patient care
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary partners
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compassionate care environment while adapting to float needs
