- Location: Portland, OR 97213 — a lively Northeast Portland neighborhood with easy access to local dining, parks, and city conveniences
Job Requirements
- 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon, or eligibility to obtain before start
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience working in a high-acuity emergency department with varied patient populations
- Ability to float between units as needed to support patient care needs
- Reliable vehicle required for this travel nursing assignment
- Strong communication, adaptability, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Triage, assess, and stabilize patients across all age groups
- Care for diverse emergency cases including medical, behavioral health, stroke, STEMI, and trauma presentations
- Monitor and manage ventilated patients, IV medications, blood products, and critical interventions
- Support procedures such as chest tube management, central line care, intubation, and procedural sedation monitoring
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Document accurately in Epic and follow established emergency department protocols
- Float as needed to support patient care demands and adjacent units
