Overview of the Position
We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in a fast-paced LTAC / long length of stay acute med-surg setting in Olympia, WA. This travel nursing opportunity is ideal for an RN who enjoys caring for adult and geriatric patients with a wide range of medical and behavioral needs while working alongside a supportive interdisciplinary healthcare team. - Floating: Required within like units and within scope

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
- Setting: Short-term acute care hospital with a mixed long length of stay and acute medical patient population
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the appropriate state
- At least 1 year of recent RN experience required
- BLS certification required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience in med-surg, acute care, LTAC, or long-term stay patient populations preferred
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical, cognitive, and behavioral needs
- Comfort working a day shift schedule and participating in weekend coverage
- Strong teamwork skills and flexibility to float as needed within scope
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with long length of stay and acute medical needs
- Monitor and assess patients each shift, including those requiring heavier care and frequent assistance
- Administer medications and support treatments according to individualized care plans
- Care for patients with cognitive, behavioral, mobility, and chronic medical challenges
- Manage common med-surg nursing needs such as wound care, oxygen therapy, peripheral line care, feeding tubes, and isolation precautions
- Collaborate with providers, therapy teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and other support departments
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate patient changes promptly
- Support a safe, therapeutic environment that promotes patient progress and placement readiness
