We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in a fast-paced LTAC / long length of stay acute med-surg setting in Olympia, WA. • Setting: Short-term acute care hospital with a mixed long length of stay and acute medical patient population

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the appropriate state
• At least 1 year of recent RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience in med-surg, acute care, LTAC, or long-term stay patient populations preferred
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical, cognitive, and behavioral needs
• Comfort working a day shift schedule and participating in weekend coverage
• Strong teamwork skills and flexibility to float as needed within scope

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with long length of stay and acute medical needs
• Monitor and assess patients each shift, including those requiring heavier care and frequent assistance
• Administer medications and support treatments according to individualized care plans
• Care for patients with cognitive, behavioral, mobility, and chronic medical challenges
• Manage common med-surg nursing needs such as wound care, oxygen therapy, peripheral line care, feeding tubes, and isolation precautions
• Collaborate with providers, therapy teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and other support departments
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate patient changes promptly
• Support a safe, therapeutic environment that promotes patient progress and placement readiness
